Memorial Day - We Remember

The majority of people agree that the first official Memorial Day was celebrated on May 30, 1868. Today, 136 years later, we still place a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and remember those who have served the United States of America. We pray for peace. We pray for a day when no mother (in any part of the world) will see her child go to war.

For many of us, Memorial Day is a day to remember those precious people who have changed us and have molded us into who we are today. We honor those in uniform and we honor those without a uniform. Sometimes we stop to honor a grandparent, or a parent or a doctor. When we are sick and when we have recovered, we stop to give thanks for the lessons learned that helped us to go on living.

We remember grandparents...
This Memorial Day I remember my Grandmother who always drank the juice after steaming vegetables. She would tell stories of horses and carriages and getting her shoes caught in the mud while trying to cross the "street" before the first cars. I think she carried the first "sport bottle" which was a spice jar filled with vegetable juices that she always had in her purse. She was the healthiest human being and always had a joke to tell.

We remember parents...
This Memorial Day I remember my Mother who taught me the power of common sense. She would remind us that book knowledge is part of life's puzzle. Often personal experience, intuition, and common sense are critical parts of learning.

We remember healers...
This Memorial Day I remember a doctor who would tell me about the days of doctoring "before prescription drugs became so darn popular." I remember calling him and telling him that my local doctors told me my colon would never heal. I remember telling him about all of my symptoms of yeast infections, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, bladder infections, poor digestion and a host of other problems. I remember his calm and gentle voice saying, "You fly here this weekend and we'll start watching your body come back to life." He was the kind of doctor who had an hour if you needed it and never watched the clock.

Yes, to me, Memorial Day is a day to remember those who have changed us. It's a day to celebrate the days of life we have left. It's a day to give thanks for healing still taking place every day.

runnerWe remember to serve others and help them on their path... When Kassie, her mother, and I first talked - Kassie explained that she was so foggy brained she couldn't think. Chronic fatigue was ruining her life. She went to her doctor who provided no solutions and sent her home. At the young age of 20 she was not excited about living the rest of her life in a failing body. After just two weeks on a program for yeast and parasites, she called excited to say that she is going running and feels great. Her digestion has improved. Her bowels are better. Her energy is amazing and life in general is getting better. She might even go back to school.
--Kassie, age 20 in MA

Another client, Robin, called and explained her many symptoms. "For a long time, I took antibiotics. I took Diflucan for almost a year. I had a lot of urinary problems and infections and had two surgeries on the bladder within three years. I felt so tired. NOW everything is different..My Irritable Bowel has gotten a LOT better. Everything is Clearing up. The bladder spasms have gone away. After all of those surgeries, I've finally experienced relief with this program. This has been such a blessing because I suffered with this for so long. I really appreciate your talking with me and caring. It makes such a difference when you can call a company and know that someone who cares will call you back. What a relief. What a blessing."
